Individual Counseling
Individual Counseling

If you are seeking individual counseling, I am trained to help you through mood related issues such as anxiety and depression as well as issues associated with adjusting to recent changes or working through past traumas. Here is a list of issues I typically work with:

If the issue that brings you to counseling is not listed above, feel free to reach out to me. I always strive to be open and honest; if I cannot meet your needs I will refer you to another therapist that is better equipped to help you meet your goals.

Couples Therapy
Couples Therapy

Recognizing that your relationship is not where you want it to be is hard. But recognizing there is hope for it to be better is a silver lining that is much needed. I welcome couples at any and all stages of their relationship. Whether you are at the point of wanting to prepare for a future together, or working through major traumas that have occurred in the marriage. No reason is wrong to take this first step.

My goal is to teach both partners ways to communicate effectively and respect each other fully. Ironically, I aim to work myself out of a job with couples. When you come in and realize that you are doing the work on your own to remain connected and to work through the issues that brought you in initially, you will know it was worth it to start the journey.

Family Therapy
Family Therapy

I have historically helped with a wide array of family dynamics, ranging from parents with children, to grown adults and extended family dynamics. In that process my job is to consider the main roles of family members and identify changes and interventions that can allow families to feel less chaotic. This may mean identifying ways for parents to be on the same page with the day to day needs of their household or it may be identifying boundaries and expectations in a large extended family network.

Each family has a different structure and warrants a different approach. My experience can lead you through the steps toward positive change.

Within family dynamics, I have also done a large amount of coparenting counseling for families with children in 2 households. This differs from traditional family therapy in that my goal is to address overall needs while also respecting what both households can adequately maintain regarding differences in their own homes.
